How the interview works, what happens to your answers, and who gets to see them.
- What is CanDid?
- CanDid runs structured AI voice interviews so candidates are evaluated on what they can actually do. An AI interviewer asks adaptive questions, answers are scored against clear rubrics, and a human reviews every result before it counts.
- What is the AI interview like?
- About 12–15 minutes, by voice, in English or French. It adapts to your background, asking follow-ups based on your answers. A typed fallback is always available if you prefer not to speak.
- How is my data handled?
- You give explicit PIPEDA consent before anything records. Data is encrypted and stored in Canada. Your responses are not sold and are not used to train third-party models.
- Does an AI make the hiring decision?
- No. The AI scores consistently, but a person makes every final decision - aligned with CPPA expectations for automated decision-making.
- What do I need to take an assessment?
- A microphone and a quiet room. The assessment runs in your browser - no install. You can switch between English and French at any time.
- What does an assessment prove about a skill?
- A skill on your resume is a claim. Taking the dedicated assessment for that skill gives it evidence: the questions you answered and how they were scored. We call that assessed, not verified - verification would mean a human reviewer signed it off, and we would rather be accurate than flattering. A general or role interview never credits a skill, however often you mention it.
- Can I retake an assessment?
- Yes, up to the attempt limit the role sets - you can see how many attempts you have left before you start. Employers do not see every attempt: they see the interviews you chose to share with them, and you can change that at any time.
- Who can see my results?
- Only the employers you share an interview with, and only while you keep that sharing on. Turning it off takes effect immediately, including for reports they generated earlier. An interview you have not shared is visible to nobody but you.
